Leaving Home - Uit Huis - by Joost Lieuwma is a charming story about how hard leaving home can be. It’s full of cute puns, and has a lot of heart :) Style and colour choices are sweet and support the story as well.

BTW if you haven’t seen Joost’s ”Things you’d better not mix up” yet, you are missing out!

Norman McLaren’s Neighbours (1952) was one of the films that my mentor Abdiel Cortez ( @QuartelMX ) back in México showed us while studying animation on a CG course. This is one of many films that made my mind explode, and made me want to stick to this amazing form of storytelling.

If you have yet to watch this film, you owe it to yourself!

FLOATING IN MY MIND by Hélène Leroux tells a life story of a person and his balloon in a very sweet touch!

Le Zizi à Suzy by Xavier Sailliol and Loïc Espuche, needs no understanding of the French language to get it! It’s brilliant, cute and so relatable. Love the aesthetics.

Here’s the link if you’d really want to see it with subtitiles

Invisible to You - Trudee’s Story is one of the episodes on  this great series. Aside from having gorgeous animation, The subject matter is where is all at. It’s something very sad to look and listen at, but I am so glad it’s being put out there to make more awareness of this sensitive topic. We absolutely need more of this, to help solve this kind of problems.
